Vanguard University

The athlete: Danielle is playing her second season for VU and was a two-sport athlete at Washburn Rural high school. She played four years of high school tennis and has improved since last season and will add up to the team. She’s a hard worker with a great volley and a competitive attacking style. She’s a good team player.

The person: Danielle was born in Portsmouth Virginia to her parents Joseph and Eileen. She is the youngest of six children and is majoring in cultural anthropology. She likes to eat cheese and bread and her favorite place is home. She feels the biggest problem in the world is poor healthcare and has learned perseverance and Hardwork through participation in athletics. She wants to become a medical anthropologist.

Her thoughts: I am attending Vanguard because it is a Christian University with a good anthropology program. I really enjoyed the sense of community here.
