The athlete: Amy was a three-sport athlete at Moorpark high school and began playing tennis in the fall of 1999. This is her second season for the Lions and has improved tremendously. She’s a hard worker who is a natural athlete and will provide good depth for the team. She has a very positive attitude and a great team player.

The person: Amy was born in Duarte California on September 30, 1981. Her parents are Gary and Thelma Bennett and her sports hero is Dominique Dawes. Her favorite place is Dana point California and she likes to eat pizza. Her favorite team is the VU men’s tennis team and she enjoys playing guitar and going to the beach. She has learned from life that friendships are the most important thing. 

Her thoughts: I selected Vanguard because of my Christian beliefs. I enjoy spending time with my friends in South Hall 20
