The Athlete: Alena is back for her second season at Vanguard... she is a captain and a veteran player in the third year of eligibility... transferred last year from Santa Barbara City College where she played one season... has played tennis for ten years and graduated from Gymnasium Sokolov in 1996... played the #2 singles position in 2003 and has exceptional leadership qualities... hard worker who will succeed in life and will help guide the Lions through their season and back to the NAIA National Tournament.

Thoughts: I chose Vanguard because it is a small university in a great location with a good tennis team. I have already made awesome friends here!
