The athlete: Carrie battled through injuries as a freshman in 2002…best 5K time is 22:26…redshirted the track season last spring…is ready for her second season with VU…graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, California…also ran track and played basketball in high school…Top Runner in high school…Most Spirited…has run cross country for five years…personal best in the three mile is 19:55…ran a 2:24 in the 800m in track in high school…will challenge for a top five spot this fall…should show tremendous improvement in 2003.
