Jeannette Hecker Bakke assists the coaching staff of the Women’s Beach Volleyball program. She started coaching indoor volleyball in high school and continued into college. In 1996 she attended Newport Harbor High School where her team was three-time Division One champions. She also was a four-time National Champion with Charlie Brand at OCVBC.

In 2000, she attended Loyola Marymount University where she was inducted into their Hall of Fame. She continued her volleyball career overseas in Germany and Greece, playing professionally. She returned to the states in 2002 and played AVP. During that time she also received her Registered Nursing license in 2008 and has been nursing in surgery centers for the last 12 years.

In 2015 she finished her Master's Degree in nursing at Loyola New Orleans and continues to coach at Sand Soul beach volleyball club.  Jeannette loves volleyball—both indoor and outdoor—but beach has always been her passion. She and her husband volunteer with their church and she loves Jesus.
