Vanguard University

The athlete: Roderigo was a two-sport athlete at Colegio Objectivo in Brazil and graduated in 1997. He played two seasons at Foothill College before transferring to Vanguard this season. He played the number two position for foothill and has a good serve and volley. He is a strong doubles player with a good attitude and is serious about tennis and academics. He has a high skill level and brings international flavor and talent to the lineup.

The person: Roderigo was born in Brazil on July 11, 1977 to his parents Paulo and Regina Godoy. His nickname is Kayla and is studying exercise sport science. He enjoys playing soccer and loves to eat his mom's steak. His favorite team is the VU men’s tennis team and he has learned from life to not worry about tomorrow. Playing tennis has taught him to be goal-oriented.
