The person: Joakim was born May 4, 1976 in Stockholm, Sweden. His parents are Stefan and Katri Ulfvebrand. He will graduate with a degree in communications. He enjoys writing, music, and sports. He loves French and Italian food, his favorite athlete is Reggie Miller, and he would like to meet Andre Agassi. He feels poverty is the world's biggest problem and athletics has taught him to never give up. In the future, he wants to become a sports writer.

His thoughts: I chose Vanguard because it offered me the opportunity to play soccer and tennis, and it is a beautiful location. I really like my teams, the professors, and the other people I’ve met here at VU.
