CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference released the men's wrestling preseason poll today, with competitions starting in just a couple of weeks. The Vanguard Lions have been picked as the seventh-best team in the CCC field of 11 programs, as VU was awarded 61 total points in the poll. Eastern Oregon was picked to finish first with 108 points, including four of the 11 first-place votes. Menlo was not far off, with the Oaks picked to finish second with 104 points and two first-place votes. The Lions will start the season on November 5. The Blue and Gold will have six duals against CCC teams, with the squad facing both Menlo and Arizona Christian twice. The other two opponents will be Embry-Riddle and Southern Oregon.
